This is incredible, and about time. On the left is the actor John Goodman as he looked on the set of Confessions of a Shopaholic in New York at the end of 2008; on the right is how he appeared last night at the AFI Life Achievement Awards, where he stole the limelight from honoree Mike Nichols. That’s an achievement in its own right. The 58-year-old Goodman was said to have weighed 392 pounds only 18 months ago. His publicist won’t confirm that he’s lost a rumored 100 pounds, but says the drop is due to diet and exercise. Now we might even watch Treme. (via Mail; photos: Splash, Getty)
