Whether we want it or not, the Tarantino-directed Charles Manson movie is barreling down upon us. Today we get our first look of Margot Robbie as the heartbreakingly gorgeous Sharon Tate who was murdered at age 26 by the Manson Family on August 9, 1969.
Top, the actual Sharon with husband Roman Polanski. Bottom, Margot as Sharon. What do you think? Nailed it or nah?
“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” stars DiCaprio and Pitt as a famous television actor and his stuntman, respectively, who are trying to make a dent in the Hollywood film world in 1969. Details about the plot are being kept under wraps by Sony, although it is known the two characters live next door to Sharon Tate. Tate’s home is where she was murdered along with three friends and an 18-year-old visitor. Tate was eight and a half months pregnant at the time of her death.
Sony will release Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on July 26, 2019 (50 years to the day that Bobby Beausoleil, Mary Brunner and Susan Atkins held Gary Hinman hostage, thus arguably setting off the bloody chain of events that culminated in the Tate/LaBianco murders).
