“Condom-Tonje” is the alias used by Tonje,a 27-year-old Norwegian woman who has been collecting used condoms, displaying them on the wall of her bedroom. Just let that sink in for a second. You read that correctly.

She curates her collecting in a display where the rubbers are shown side by side above her bed, maybe so she can dream of them at all night.

She currently has nearly 2000 pendulous cum-catchers dangling from the walls of her room and she claims she hopes to get to 10,000 over in the few years.

Her passion for prophylactics started in 2010 when she asked her then-boyfriend if she could keep his condom because there was “something about the smell”. Soon, she began asking her friends to keep and save their used condoms for her to add to the collection.

The whole thing resulted in the boyfriend breaking up with her. Despite her peculiar hobby straining their relationship, she continued to collect sticky condoms and pin them to her wall.

When her friends’ supply dried up, she began to purchase used condoms from strangers online, paying up to $75 USD for a quality rubber with its contents. She pays extra if they are willing to include a photograph along with their used rubber.

“I get more and more condoms all the time. It is the best feeling in the world. I feel so happy when I go to the mailbox. People were sending used condoms to me. It’s like Christmas every day for me. One day I am going to clear 10,000. I am looking forward to that!”
