What is a Gracie Award, you ask? It’s given by the AWM (Alliance for Women in Media) and named after beloved radio and television icon Gracie Allen. It honors programming created for women, by women, and about women, as well as individuals who have made exemplary contributions in electronic media and affiliates. World of Wonder won Outstanding Programming Special or Variety for the HBO documentary Wishful Drinking, based on Carrie Fischer’s one-woman show. Other winners included Outstanding Female Rising Star Emilia Clarke (OMG! Daenerys from Game of Thrones! YAY!), Outstanding News Host Rachel Maddow, Outstanding Drama Revenge, Outstanding Documentary Lady Gaga: Inside the Outside, Outstanding Talk Show Chelsea Lately, Outstanding Reality Show Oprah: Behind the Scenes, and Outstanding Host Florence Henderson for RLTV. You go, Flo! And congratulations to everybody!
