We learn from Deadline Hollywood that this handsome movie star has teamed with Solar Pictures to develop Samarkand, a drama to be directed by Greg Williams about post traumatic stress disorder. Hardy will portray an SAS soldier with PTSD who returns from operations in the Middle East and finds it nearly impossible to make the transition from the battlefield back into the real world. The script was written by brothers Greg and Olly Williams. Meanwhile, Hardy is also attached to the Steven Knight-directed Locke, the Daniel Espinosa-directed Child 44, and the Doug Liman-directed Everest. And he’ll soon be costarring with Noomi Rapace in an adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s Animal Rescue for Fox Searchlight. But, you know, whatever. Just look at that mug.
