Have you heard about this “mini ice age” that the earth is apparently going to experience sometime between 2030 and 2040? This is according to Valentina Zharkova who is a math professor at Northumbria University in England. Scientists are now able to predict solar cycles more accurately due to a a new model that shows solar inaccuracies. SOOO, “solar activity” is supposed to drop 60% between 2030 and 2040. The last time this happened was between 1645 and 1715, more than 300 years ago! So what does this mean for us? It means winters will be much colder, and there may be year round snowfall in places that don’t normally experience this kind of weather.
Winter clothing are clothes used for protection against the particularly cold weather of winter. Often they have a good water resistance, consist of multiple layers to protect and insulate against low temperatures.
Winter clothes are especially outerwear like coats, jackets, hats, scarves and gloves or mittens, but also warm underwear like long underwear, union suits and socks. Military issue winter clothing evolved from heavy coats and jackets to multilayered clothing for the purpose of keeping troops warm during winter battles. Several shirts and socks, usually four pairs were standard issue for the U.S. Army during WWII. Winter clothes used for sports and recreation includes ski suits and snowmobile suits. Many northern cultures use animal fur to make winter clothes like alpaca clothing which has turned out to be one of the best materials for the cold weather.
I say BRING IT ON! In my opinion, men’s clothing is better in the winter when you’re able to layer, and as long as the entire earth isn’t covered in ice, and I can still get away to a beach every once in a while, I’ll be fine. And it’s ONLY 10 years. We can handle that right?
