Shia LaBeouf’s next film role probably will be in Danish director Lars von Trier’s two-part English-language erotic drama, Nymphomaniac, which begins production in September. The film, Von Trier’s first since 2011’s Melancholia, follows the erotic adventures of a woman (Charlotte Gainsbourg) from her youth to the age of 50, as told to her husband (Stellan Skarsgard). It’s not clear how, ahem, big LaBeouf’s role would be. (You’ll recall LaBeouf’s nude turn in that Sigur Ros video not long ago.) Von Trier plans to shoot both soft and hard versions of each of the film’s two parts. Nicole Kidman, who starred in von Trier’s 2003 drama Dogville, said recently that she’ll have a small role in Nymphomaniac. (via Hollywood Reporter; photo: Pacific Coast News)
