When the Beat Drops opens on West Coast at Frameline Festival!
Our newest documentary, When the Beat Drops, directed by Jamal Sims and co-produced with Jordan Finnegan, has officially had it’s West Coast premiere and the film was met with multiple standing ovations after the screening ended.
Oh, and according to those that were there it was a sold out crowd! AMAZING!
In attendance that night was the director himself Jamal Sims alongside Jordan Finnegan who held a brief Q&A after the screening talking to the crowd about the film.
Jamal told us exclusively:
“Honestly it was an honor to not only be able to watch the film during its west coast premiere at Frameline Festival, but to receive not one, but multiple standing ovations once the screening concluded. It was an experience I will never, ever forget.”
So, what’s the movie about?
“Helmed by world-class director-choreographer Jamal Sims, When the Beat Drops immerses viewers in the growing culture of bucking—and if you’re unfamiliar with this hyper-athletic, wildly creative dance phenomenon, prepare to be electrified.”
