Last Thursday, a 28-year-old woman and a male friend were invited back to a small party at Kid Rock’s home in Macomb County, Michigan, after meeting him in a Clarkston bar and grill. The invitation was to “listen to music,” but things turned ugly when, after a fair amount of drinking, Rock allegedly wouldn’t allow the woman to leave when she wanted to. She says he grabbed her by the back of the neck twice when she was outside and pushed her towards her car. Which sounds like he wanted her to leave, which happens to be his story. Rock admits to inviting the couple over, but says when the woman became rude and obnoxious, criticizing the songs from his new album, he had to ask her to leave, and she threatened to accuse him of assaulting her. Which she did when the police arrived. Her wimpy male friend sided with the woman, but another guest corroborated Rock’s story. Said a police spokesman: “At this point, we have two people who say one thing and two other people that say something else. Once the investigation is completed, a report will be given to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.” No one was arrested, but the woman has filed assault charges. (Source)
