We’ve been closely monitoring the evolution of Boston Dynamic‘s running robo-dogs for almost a decade, from the early 2010 prototypes to the upright walking versions they unveiled in 2016, and we’ve got to say, they’re getting freakier and freakier all the time. And we’re inching closer and closer to the Skynet/robot apocalypse we’ve been warned about. To that end, Boston Dynamics has issued a new video featuring a robot dog called SpotMini who uses his claw-like arm (frighteningly, where the head should be) to open a door, then hold that door so another robot dog can pass through it. Noooooo. Pleeeeeease. I don’t like this. Not one bit. Watch the stuff of nightmares below.
