Now we’re going to take issue with that “ishue” issue. The one concerning our Thursday’s post on Tori Spelling’s answering questions in EW ‘s Pop Culture Personality Test. We said it was in the “latest ishue (sp?).” Apparently at least two people thought we really didn’t know how to spell “issue” – one was a loyal WOW Report reader who sheepishly emailed us the correct spelling; the other was a vituperative, potty-mouthed blogger who said:
“Because it’s so hard to pull up dictionary.com if you’re uncertain of the proper spelling, for fuck’s sake! And you want me to take your blog seriously?! You’re asking me, to look at this with an objective eye, even though the concept and execution of this blog is definitely nothing new nor original, and you want me to write up a proper review?!”
No, as a matter of fact, we don’t want you to write up any kind of review. Who asked you to? And you won’t want us to pick at that paragraph of yours. But we guess it makes sense that in the sea of misspellings and errant commas and apostrophes that is the blogosphere no one got the joke. So we’ll spell it out for you. The “(sp?)” part of “ishue (sp?)” stands for “spelling question,” which is what the post was about – questions put to Tori Spelling. Or, if you like, Miss Spelling. Oh, and girlfriend, in your rant, you went on to misspell “misspell.” Which is genius.
