Today, Bravo launches its internet broadband channel, Brilliant But Cancelled.com. Interestingly, World of Wonder made two specials for Trio a while back, both called Brilliant But Cancelled, one about TV series that were great but failed to catch the attention of viewers, and the other, subtitled Pilot Season, about verging-on-genius pilots that didn’t appeal to the networks. Of further interest is that Trio, itself a brilliant-but-cancelled network, was bought by NBC Universal, which also bought Bravo, which is now marketing Trio brands such as Brilliant But Cancelled. Which is abbreviated as BBC. The funnest part of the channel, which Fenton Bailey pointed out over the weekend, is that viewers will be able to post their own reviews of shows that are cancelled or should be. Meanwhile, we’re still missing Action, Titus, American Gothic, and terrified Scrubs will be taken off life support.
