No, no, no, no, no. Never. Terrifying video of tightrope walkers attempting to walk between two hot-air balloons 1,000 MILES IN THE AIR. Lots of vertigo-inducing shots from helmet cams. Lots of of gasp-inducing moments as they teeter, totter, and *SPOILER ALERT* fall. Yes, fall. NOT ONE OF THEM MAKES IT ACROSS. Of course, they’re wearing parachutes, so they live. All of them. Although, I do have some experience with hot air balloons. Once we traveled to a hot air balloon festival at Napa Valley Balloons and truthfully it was quite the experience.
It turned out the weather was very nice and I did get to see the festival, even though I was not able to take a photo of the event – I did however take a few videos of the festival, in all they are below. The one thing I really like about hot air balloon rides is you get to see so many different places, and you can get a great view of the whole town (that has a lot of people).
I will say that the hot air rides at the festival were pretty interesting too – there are balloons flying through the sky, you can see various kinds of balloons, as well as you can see the planes. (This was in the evening – the sun had set)
You can also see the hot air balloons in a very cool and different way in the video below, in which the balloon stops and starts flying into a lake.
I did like the view from behind the hot air balloons, it really was a cool spectacle! The one thing that I noticed this year is the amount of people that are participating, it’s incredible.
