It’s a well-known fact that snakes don’t have gag reflexes, which is more than I can say after having watched this short video of a snake who – for whatever reason – ate an entire beach towel. It’s being held down while a team of Aussie veterinarian specialists slooooooooowly pull it out of him. After the final yank, the lady vet just sort of stands there, smiling, holding the towel (that is presumably wet with snake innards and snake spit) like its no big deal. Meanwhile, I’ve been retching for a solid minute and 42 seconds.
Interestingly: the snake now appears half its size.
