Today is Jean Michel Basquiat’s birthday. His friendship and collaborations with Andy Warhol are the stuff of legend.
The upcoming book, Warhol on Basquiat, explores the artists’ personal and professional relationship through hundreds of never-before-published photographs of Basquiat by Warhol, along with excerpts from the legendary Andy Warhol Diaries, and rarely seen archival material and examples of their collaborative artworks.
Jean Michel Basquiat would have been 60 today and Andy would have been 82.
