The 2023 Met Gala celebrates the opening of The Costume Institute’s new spring exhibition,
Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.
The dress code for this year’s Met Gala will be “In honor of Karl.” The late designer headed up many fashion houses during his long career, including Balmain, Patou, Chloé, Fendi, Chanel, and his own Lagerfeld brand, that attendees can draw inspiration from.
Vogue‘s official Met Gala red carpet livestream tonight, Monday, May 1 is hosted by actor and producer La La Anthony, joined by writer and man-about-town Derek Blasberg along with SNL’s Chloe Fineman.
The 2023 Met Gala’s co-chairs are Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa, and Anna Wintour. Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty is at The Met from May 5th – July 16th, 2023.
