No, that’s not Natasha Lyonne in the poster for Walk of Shame. And it’s not Katherine Heigl. It’s Elizabeth Banks. Huh? Looks NOTHING like her, does it? Whenwhenwhen will people stop Photoshopping their stars into anonymous blobs? It’s so counterintuitive. Anyway. Elizabeth Banks stars as an aspiring Los Angeles TV news anchor who wakes up in a stranger’s bed after an uncharacteristic night of partying. She receives a phone message from her agent telling her she’s got the anchorwoman job she was after, if she can make it across town by 5PM. Stranded in an unknown area without money, a phone, and a car, she embarks on a series of misadventures as she races to the most important job interview of her life. Fun, right? I do love a Picaresque adventure tale in the vein of After Hours, Who’s That Girl?, Adventures in Baby Sitting, and Blind Date, and this looks pretty adorable. Also starring James Marsden, and when do we ever NOT love him? I have a sneaky feeling, though, we don’t need to actually rush out and see this, as it will probably be on TNT every Sunday afternoon for the rest of our lives, alternating with Bride Wars, Maid in Manhattan, and Forgetting Sarah Marshal.
