The trailer for the Todd Haynes/HBO remake of Mildred Fierce Pierce is here, and it looks like they’ve scrubbed the camp right out of it. Well let me tell you something Mr Todd Haynes, you think just because you made a little money you can put a new hairdo and some expensive clothes on an old classic and turn it into a hit. But you can’t, because you’ll never be anything but a common frump whose father lived over a grocery store and whose mother took in washing. I hate you, I hate you. I can’t wait to get away from this production and get away from you. From you and your chickens and your pies and your kitchens and everything that smells of grease. I want to get away from this shack with its cheap furniture. And this town and its dollar days, and its women that wear uniforms and its men that wear overalls. This trailer STINKS, Todd. It stinks and I hate it, and I hate you! WEREN’T THE PIES ENOUGH, TODD?
