Gina Gershon’s turn in Showgirls (remember Elizabeth Berkley’s pronunciation of Versace?) set the stage for her transformation as the real Donatella Versace (with major makeup and cotton stuffed under her upper lip) in Lifetime’s House of Versace. But until I see her performance as the fashion diva, I’m not convinced that former Saturday Night Live‘s cast member Maya Rudolph wouldn’t have been a better choice.
