The great Russian train crosses two continents, 12 regions, and 87 cities. Google and its maps collaborated with Russian Railways to allow us to pack a lunch and travel along its expanse with a seat next to the window, ogling at the likes of Moscow, the Lower Urals, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Slyudyanka, Birobidzhan, Vladivostok, and many more sights as they whiz past. Plus, we have our choice of soundtrack: Russian radio, balalaika tunes, War and Peace being read in Russian, or the soothing clickety-clack of the wheels. It’s quite simply why the Internet was invented. All aboard? (Go here: Google Maps)
