Hasbro just released a reimagined version of the classic board game Clue, and everyone has thoughts on the changes…
Don’t freak out just yet, the idea behind the characters is still the same. Players can choose;
- Professor Plum
- Mayor Green
- Chef White
- Solicitor Peacock
- Miss Scarlett
- Colonel Mustard
But the new edition brings a more diverse group to the game, which historically had a mostly white cast of characters. The new version also happens to make many (or all, depending on what you are into) somewhat hotter.
The intent of the game is true to the original. According to the product description,
Six guests arrive at Boddy Black’s mansion, and none know what to expect. A sinister blackmail scheme ends up killing the host, and the race to find the murderer begins.
The changes include articles on Boddy Black’s desk revealing ways in which he’s blackmailing each character as well as adding in “Clue cards” to speed up the clue gathering and offering an advantage over other players.
Among the new characters social media singled out Chef White as a fave.
D&D journalist Christian Hoffer tweeted,
Hasbro’s new version of Clue officially comes out today and I look forward to a generation of kids pointing to the new Chef White as their sexual awakening.”
I did not receive a review copy of Clue, so I cannot confirm whether "Stepping on Me" is now a potential weapon. Gonna presume so until stated otherwise.

Some discussed the heels on Solicitor Peacock, Hoffer said,
I did not receive a review copy of Clue, so I cannot confirm whether ‘Stepping on Me’ is now a potential weapon. Gonna presume so until stated otherwise.”
Many responded to his tweet, like,
Wait, they came out with Clue: Bisexual Panic edition?”
Another said,
‘What’s your sexuality?’ *Drops Clue on the table*.”

Even the official account for Mr. Monopoly even had some thoughts,
