It’s OK now for men over 12 to wear Speedos on the beach in Cape May, New Jersey, after a 30-year ban, reports the Associated Press. Not that the ban was strictly enforced. But it could have been. It was all those cruising gays in skimpy, junk-hugging Jantzens back in the ’60 that got God-fearing, family-oriented citizens all nervous and concerned and prompted the ban to be instituted. Unfortunately – and typically – the guys sporting the Speedos today are the ones you wish wouldn’t. You know the ones; the only time you might want to see them in Speedos is on a nude beach. Also, along with the Speedo acceptance comes a lift of the ban that prevented men from strolling shirtless along the boardwalk. We’re thinking the ban should be reinstated for men over 50.
