Director Spike Lee is off to New Orleans, where he plans to employ “factual jounalism, not creative narrative” in a documentary he’ll make for HBO about how race and politics collided in the wake of hurricane Katrina. He likens what happened there to the 1972 Polanski film, Chinatown. “The whole subplot of the whole thing is about water in Southern California and how it was not delivered to the people who needed it.”
Drummer Tommy Lee was burned in a pyrotechnics stunt gone horribly wrong as he swung from a wire over the stage at a Mötley Crüe concert in Wyoming. Though he wouldn’t discuss details of the injuries, a Casper police Sergeant said Lee wasn’t badly hurt; so despite the secrecy, we can assume Lee’s famous penis was unharmed.
