Trump will spend Christmas in Washington due to his government shutdown. He tweeted.
“I will not be going to Florida because of the Shutdown – Staying in the White House! #MAGA”
Friday, Melania and Barron, left for Mar-a-Lago but is not clear if Barron will also be returning to Washington with his mother.
Trump was to leave Friday for a 16-day vacation, but said he’d be staying at the White House as the Senate attempted to compromise on legislation to keep the government funded.
Yesterday afternoon, Trump tweeted:
“I am in the White House, working hard.”
The shutdown will last at least for 3-4 more days because Senate adjourned without a deal in place, and lawmakers aren’t returning until Dec. 27.
If a deal isn’t reached by week’s end would Trump still fly down for Mar-a-Lago’s lavish New Year’s Eve party?
How do you like your wall now?
