Yes, it’s one of those days that every major newspaper, magazine, website (and blog) screams the same news:
In case you don’t get your local paper, here’s a sampling from across the country. Almost all have the same basic cover, except for the Rupert Murdoch owned, New York Post which has a picture of hero House Speaker Nancy Pelosi calling her “Swamp Mistress” and saying,
IT’S YOUR FUNERAL
We get reporting and share stories from their Page Six sometimes, but honestly, we hate the NY Post.
And of course, FoxNews reported Trump at his rally in Pennsylvania last night night. Just before he left for that rally,New York Times photographer Doug Mills snapped Trump in the Oval Office office looking out in a picture that captures the shock of the moment. Just before the House voted to adopt both articles of impeachment; abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
Have a look. I think he should win the Pulitzer.
Trump of course has retweeted a ton since the impeachment vote most notably, an image of himself in stark black and white that reads
THEY’RE NOT AFTER ME, THEY’RE AFTER YOU… & I’M IN THE WAY
Not true, but a clever diversion his followers will probably buy.
For me, I posted this graphic I made of the American flag upside down with IMPEACH TRUMP on it as my Facebook & Twitter profile images on July 18, 2018, saying I wouldn’t change it until he was. He just was.
Guess it’s time for a new selfie.
