From the September 1968 issue of Girls’ Romances, we have a stirring tale of high fashion and romance. Peggy Wilson is tired of her same old dull routine, tired of the overbearing oafs who ask her out, tired of LIFE. On an impulse, she flies to Paris to find ADVENTURE. Have I mentioned yet that it’s 1968 and Peggy Wilson looks an awful lot like Twiggy? Kind of important. Anyway, as is so often the case, no sooner does she arrive in Paris then a handsome newspaper photographer decides to do a story about her: “An American Girl Discovers Paris.” Together, they visit the sights, while Peggy wears incredibly mod outfits and tries not fall in love. Eventually, though, it’s time to leave and all she is left with is her LONELY HEART. Complete story – AND BONUS FASHION EXTRAS! – after the jump.
