Emojis are about to get a lot more gender-inclusive, thanks to the hard work of community activists. It’s part of a whole slew of highly-requested emojis coming to a keyboard near you. Emojipedia has created a handy overview of what’s in store:
About a year ago, Monica Helms (the creator of the transgender flag) submitted a proposal for the new trans symbols, cosigned by Alda Vigdís Skarphéðinsdóttir, Bianca Rey, Hannah Simpson, Tea Uglow, Ted Eytan, and Chad Cipiti.
We will also be getting gender-inclusive tuxes, veils and bottle feeding.
