From Hollywood Boulevard, it’s The WOW Report for Radio Andy on SiriusXM! That’s right WOWers, World of Wonder Co-Founder Fenton Bailey, Executive VP of Development Tom Campbell, and WOW Report Editor James St. James have collaborated with reality TV guru and WOWlebrity Andy Cohen on a weekly Top Ten Countdown of the things from the past week that make us go…WOW!
It’s a pop-culture obsessed hour complete with colorful diatribes, opposing opinions, and a dissection-like discussion that will make your drive home from work more fabulous!
We air TODAY at 4PM EST on SiriusXM and repeat at 4PM PST (7PM EST). You can also catch “Top Ten Things That Make Us Go WOW!” on the SiriusXM app.
Without further adou, here’s our Top Ten list of the things that made us go WOW this week:
10) The Olympics: Who Cares?
The Olympics tend to be over packaged, overproduced, and full of manufactured faux sentiment. They could be better. For instance, what if all of the events weren’t in the same city as suggested by Malcolm Gladwell to Fareed Zakaria on CNN.
9) Gold Medal Bulges
We all have to agree, the best thing about the Olympics are the boys and their bulges, am I right?! We discuss the hot guy from Tonga, the other sexy men showering in their little-bitty speedos, and all the other sexy men competing!
8) Testosterone Warfare
An argument has been made that South African track star Caster Semenya should not be allowed to compete as a woman at the Olympics as she has no ovaries and an unusually high level of testosterone. We say why not?!
7) Control Issues: Janet Jackson’s Control @ 30
One of the seminal records of the mid-eighties, Janet Jackson’s Control turned 30 earlier this year, so we reminisce on the record and wonder if she ever fully recovered from Nipplegate in 2004, as suggested by this article in the New York Times.
6) Frat Boy Face/Off
Austin Harrouff, an athletic and well-liked 19-year-old Florida State University student, was eating dinner with his parents at a local sports bar in Jupiter, Florida, when he apparently got angry about something (“possibly the restaurants slow service”), stormed out in a huff, and what happens next is something you’d see at the beginning of a horror movie!
5) A Brood About the Broad
We go inside downtown LA’s magnificent contemporary art museum which is a piece of art in itself, The Broad.
4) RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race 2
RuPaul has brought back her girls for a second addition to the RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race series, but this time, there’s a fierce new twist!
3) Sausage Party: All the Food’s Gone Bad!
The new Seth Rogen produced animated film for adults Sausage Party is FILTHY, but in the best way!
2) I Love “Cheap Thrills!”
Sia‘s newest number one single “Cheap Thrills,” the first to hit number one by a woman over 40 since Madonna’s “Music,” is the song of the summer!
1) ???
What could top all of these? You’ll have to FIND OUT at 4:00PM EST and again at 4:00 PST (7 PM EST) on SiriusXM!
Thanks for tuning in! Be sure to give your ears the gift of THE WOW REPORT on Radio Andy SiriusXM EVERY Friday.
And remember, do something this weekend that makes YOU go WOW!!!
