Bonhams auction house in New York will be presenting “Tony Duquette: Jewels of Enchantment” on Oct. 15, an auction that will offer 80 lots of dazzling, one-of-a-kind pieces from legendary jewelry designer Tony Duquette. This is the largest collection of Duquette fine jewels ever to come to auction, and it’s all VERY exciting. I’m just mad about this multi-colored sapphire bib, which they’re guessing will go for between $44,000 and $55,000. Of course, then I’ll have to get the matching bracelet of pink, blue, and yellow sapphires, which they say might go as high as $33,000. But then who could put a price on fabulous? I’m also pondering this graduated series of rectangular-cut bicolor tourmalines, citrines, and green tourmalines that’s expected to fetch around $25,000. Just for around the office, you know. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some organs that need selling on the black market. Check out all 80 pieces here.
