Top-drawer Washington Madame Deborah Jeane Palfrey has had her assets seized by the IRS and she plans to offer up for sale her 46 pounds of phone records to help offset the legal costs of stopping the seizure. Meanwhile, top-drawer Washington pols are suffering seizures because of it. Palfrey ran a “high-end adult fantasy firm which offered legal sexual and erotic services across the spectrum of adult sexual behavior.” Federal agents recently seized more than $427,000 in cash and stocks from Palfrey – who’s a Vallejo, California, girl – accusing her of running a money-laundering scheme from her Washington, DC-based prostitution business, Pamela Martin and Associates. Who’s in her phone book? Palfrey’s attorney, who’s “mining the data,” says, “Statistically, if you have 10,000 people, and given the structure of this particular service, these weren’t people beckoning from car windows. The escorts only responded to four- and five-star hotels or private residences, so the landlines will show up on the private residences real quickly.” (via The Politico and The Valley; t/y Noah)
