It’s openly 39 seconds long, but OH! what a glorious 39 seconds! From the YouTube description: A fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger inspires Pee-wee Herman to take his first-ever holiday in this epic story of friendship and destiny.
How has this man not aged in 35 years?
Pee-wee’s Big Holiday will be available for viewing on Netflix on March 18! It will make its world premiere at SXSW, sometime between March 11-20, but that means fans who can’t make the Austin, TX media festival won’t have to wait long to see everybody’s favorite man-boy.
To celebrate it, Netflix has released the above teaser–very brief, but with lots of character. It follows a bit in the footsteps of Pee-wee’s Big Adventure from 1985, which saw Reubens’ red-bow-tie-sporting hero traverse America looking for his missing bike. He still lives in a house with all kinds of cool gadgetry, and he’s still not really ready to be out in the world. But that’s Pee-wee Herman all over, isn’t it?
The film is co-produced by Reubens and Apatow and was written by Reubens and Paul Rust. In addition to Reubens, the film will star Joe Manganiello, Jessica Pohly, Alia Shawkat, and Stephanie Beatriz.
