Well, it was the best episode of the season, maybe one of the best episodes EVER. Everything came into focus, all the muddled bits about maps and pagan rituals fell to the side, and most importantly, everybody was in ONE PLACE, interacting with each other, and THAT’S what we love about Teen Wolf. Director/writer/creator Jeff Davis has been mighty stingy with us this season. He knows about the Sterek ‘shippers out there and has pretty much REFUSED to have the two characters interact. I think HE thinks that by having ONE GAY SCENE in ONE EPISODE, he’s thrown us a bone and we should all be happy to follow whatever disorganized mess of a plot pops into his head. And I get that in the Colton Haynes vacuum, he’s decided to push Isaac to the forefront – and he IS a compelling character, and I LOVE his boy-crush on Scott – but it wasn’t enough to save this season. Enough kvetching, though. Last night was brill. Absolute perfection from beginning to end. Derek pouting as his heart broke was oh-so adorable. Isaac frantic because he needed to save Scott is the stuff of my dreams. And Stiles with that single teardrop falling was just magnificent. Such a shame that just when it became exciting, we only have two episodes left.
