Not sure how Sean Combs will be addressed in the UK now that he’s lost the use of Diddy there. Seems that name is the property of Richard “Diddy” Dearlove, a British music producer and rapper best known for his cover of Blondie’s “Atomic” and who had a #23 hit, “Give Me Love,” in 1997. Combs, who in a process of name simplification called himself P Diddy in 2001 after toying with Puff Daddy for a while and finally deciding on just Diddy, has agreed to settle £110,000 out of court to the original Diddy who’s been working under that name since 1992. “I’m really happy and relieved,” said Diddy Dearlove after the settlement. And what will the Brits call Puffy? What’s wrong with Sean?
