In space no one can hear you bark. Forty-seven years ago today, a stray dog named Laika became the first dog in space when it was shot into orbit aboard the Russian rocket Sputnik II, making the cosmomutt a true pioneer. The Soviets claimed the little dog survived for days going round and round the Earth, but in fact Laika was dead within hours. Very sad. Now, almost five decades later, Fox is keeping secret the death of a dog on its Nanny 911 reality show. Coincidence?
