Tomorrow night, the people who brought you Showbiz Moms & Dads and Showdog Moms & Dads (that’s us) will begin airing a hilarious new series on Bravo called Party / Party, in which families spend tons of money and spill gallons of bad blood in preparing and enduring the parties that mark high points of their lives. They literally fight for their right to party. Weddings, graduations, bar and bat mitzvahs, fund raisers – no celebration is spared. The eight-part series is orchestrated by supervising producer Todd Radnitz (of Moms & Dads fame) and kicks off with a high-school graduation party – and fresh, new reality-TV stars are born with the Cassabones!
Susan Stewart, in the latest TV Guide, gives the show an 8 out of 10 in her “Hits & Misses” column:
If outrageousness is the barometer of reality shows, then this one is off the charts. The premiere follows two high-school graduation fetes from planning to hangovers. One honoree tells her mother to “Shut up!” and the other sneaks out to buy party clothes. But the apples didn’t fall far from the trees: One mother gets drunk; the other spikes the punch. Bad girls, great show.
Exectutive producer Randy Barbato wants to make sure WOW fans know that each episode of the series will feature HOT NEW CLUB TRACKS thanks to our collaboration with Party Monster and Inside Deep Throat music consultant Bill Coleman aka Peace Bisquit. Here’s a taste of the theme song from Jody Watley and Chris Willis.
