“Years ago, before you were born,” Maggie Smith’s Dowager Countess Grantham tells the assembled family, “I met a man, and now I’ve come into possession of a villa in the South of France.”
Cut to shocked faces and much pearl-clutching all around…
The trailer then sees the family begin the “grandest escape of the year” as they’re off to the ever-gorgeous French Riviera.
“And with that I will say good night,” the Dowager Countess says at one point during a soiree, “and leave you to discuss my mysterious past.”
Fun, fun, fun.
