Google video has had a pretty rough start. The site’s had a lot of really bad reviews. Most complaints seem to stem from the awful look and navigation, but the way their DRM works is no picnic either. It can be really frustrating for users when they buy two videos from the same store and one can be watched forever, while the other goes dead in a day.
Now CBS, Google’s biggest supplier, seems to agree. New episodes of Survivor will be sold through CBS’s own site, and will no longer be available on Google. That’s a pretty big hit for a new service. It’s not all bad, though – we all really like the thumbnail logs.
