Here’s a lovely bit of footage from the astounding library of the late Nelson Sullivan, bless him, via Robert Coddington. (So it’s not an official WOW basement tape.) We don’t know exactly when this little piece of drama took place, but it was probably sometime in the mid-’80s. The Lady Bunny and Lahoma Van Zandt hang out at scene-archivist Nelson’s house in New York, preparing – endlessly – to go out. Bunny fusses with her eyelashes and nails, while Nelson tries to hurry them both out the door so he can watch TV. Then Bunny asks Nelson for 50 or 60 dollars so she can buy some coke. It’s just a sweet vignette of a time long gone. (Watch the Clip)
• Just received an note from Coddington. The date is January 6, 1989.
