Artist Suzanne Heintz has a model family. Her husband Chauncey and daughter Mary-Margaret, are mannequins. For more than a decade, she has taken photos of herself posing with them as a picture-perfect “family.” She recently took Chauncey and Mary-Margaret on a trip to Paris, and “the Familyquins,” as Heintz calls her family, took in the City of Light. As she was preparing to leave Paris, Suzanne found out that shipping home her husbands – she’s got two Chauncey mannequins, one in a standing position and one in a sitting position – would be more expensive than just having duplicates made back in the US. So she kept her daughter (she’s lighter) and abandoned her husband. “I guess I was ready for a divorce,” she said. “I decided to literally ‘dump the baggage’ inherited from my mother’s generation. It felt wild, and I tell you, it felt good.” But how did Mary-Margaret feel having her Dad ditched on the street naked? (Photos: Suzanne Heinz)
