There’s not only ONE big game today, 70 puppies from 22 different shelters are competing in Puppy Bowl XVII.
The tradition that began in 2005 and the winning team captain gets the Chewy Lombarky Trophy, but really, all the dogs win because for the past 16 years, all of the puppies (and kittens) got adopted.

This year’s Puppy Bowl features dogs from nine states, like Marshall, a deaf Boston Terrier mix training to be a therapy dog for COVID nurses and Mona, a 10-year-old Toy Poodle mix from LA who takes reiki healing sessions.
There are five special needs players and four hearing impaired pups, including Jett, a double front amputee Labrador mix.
And all will be cheered on for the first time by puppy cheerleaders. You can meet all the players here.
And yes, there are kittens! Adoptable kittens will put on the the annual Kitty Halftime Show.
