San Francisco, Saturday afternoon, February 24: I’m standing on the corner of Castro and 18th Street and I see Kathy Griffin, star of Bravo’s My Life on the D List, with three cameras and a couple of boom mics in tow. Media slut that I am, I thought I’d have some fun and take her on. “Kathy, I just love your show,” I said, and grabbed her in a tight embrace, squeezing her boobs. “So you’re hosting the Gay Porn Awards, tonight at the Castro Theater. That’s so great!” I squeezed her again. ” Now what part of a guy’s body really turns you on? You look like a butt girl, but I’ll bet you’re really a ball breaker, right?” She smiled and giggled. A couple of cameras moved in for each of our close ups. We air-kissed and I told her I’d see her later at the show, finally letting her escape my embrace.
A production assistant came over with a release for me to sign, which I did. Then I threw him my business card and left. Kathy had been a good sport, I had fun, and she had a cute bit for her reality show. But there were two other film crews up the street that I wanted to check out.
