Stranger Things’s Charlie Heaton has been banned from the USA.
Cutie pie actor Charlie Heaton, the 23-year-old British actor who plays Jonathan Byers on the Netflix super-popular, supernatural series Stranger Things, was denied entry into the USA, missing the gala Season Two premiere and party in Hollywood because traces of cocaine were found in his luggage at LAX.
As reported in the British tabloid The Sun, Heaton was caught by drug-sniffing dogs. Border officials then allegedly found traces of a very small amount of white powder on his personal items. The Sun cited an anonymous source who confirmed it to be cocaine.
Heaton was not arrested, but was detained at LAX and then put back on a plane to London.
Netflix has made no comment about the incident or on Heaton’s future on Stranger Things. Although Netflix has made no official announcement, the show’s creators / writers / executive producers, The Duffer Brothers, have said that work has already begun on Season Three. Stranger Things began streaming in July 2016, just when things were really getting strange in America.
