“It’s kind of been me and my mind,” says Macaulay Culkin about the “isolated existence” he’s led since the age of six. “I’m the most out-of-work actor I know.” His last major role was in the WOW cult feature Party Monster. Now he’s afraid people are going to think he’s gone nuts when they read his semiautobiographical novel, Junior, which he wrote in the long periods between acting. “I hope people don’t think I’m crazy, because I’m not,” he says, urging fans not to read, so to speak, too much into the book. Of course, we’d go a little mental too if we knew we’d still have “Home Alone star” affixed to our name when we’re 70. Not that “Junior author” would sound much better.
