Breaking Bad’s much-discussed-around-the-water-cooler episode, “Ozymandias” last Sunday was the show’s highest-rated episode ever, with 6.4 million viewers. Now we learn that the excitedly anticipated final two episodes will each run 75 minutes, with commercials, according to writer and co-executive producer Peter Gould. “I checked and it’s official,” said Gould in a tweet. He advises us to set our DVRs accordingly. (A situation that often has us throwing the remote at the television.) “Better still,” he said, “watch live!”
TV Guide lists the episodes as running 75 minutes, and AMC.com lists Low Winter Sun, which follows Bad, as beginning at 10:15PM instead of its usual 10PM. (Recent eps, you’ve noticed, have been running over the one-hour mark by a few minutes.) BB’s final episodes (sniff) air September 22, opposite the Primetime Emmys (DVR alert!!), and September 29.
