Alyson “Say my name, bitch” Hannigan is now in the cast of In the Game, the ABC sitcom from the pen of its star, Jennifer Love Hewitt. Hewitt plays a rookie reporter for a startup sports channel not unlike ESPN. Ed O’Neill, who had played her boss in the pilot, has been reassigned as her dad in the tweaked and revamped versions shooting later this month. Hannigan will play her best friend since high school who comes to work as her assistant. Meow!
Andrew Kreisberg, the man who thought up the atrocious Hope & Faith, has another idea, this time for the WB. Love Lindsey/Hate Hannah will be a comedy about a man in love with his ex-wife’s sister. Sounds subtle.
When John Stamos isn’t squiring those scary twins around Disney World, he’s at work on Jake in Progress, the midseason comedy (we’ll be the judge of that) for ABC, which also stars Ed‘s Julie Bowen, who plays a temp who works with Stamos’s celebrity publicist character. Wendie Malick is also a regular. (The Futon Critic)
