A lot of Kirsten Dunst’s things were stolen out of her suite at the Soho Grand Hotel this week while she was in New York filming scenes for the movie version of Toby Young’s memoir, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. Ironic? Entering her room through an open door (?), two guys (captured on surveillance tape after the fact) stole a $13,000 handbag, $2,500 cash, credit and ID cards, two digital cameras, a cell phone, and an iPod (losing the iPod would have pissed us off most. And the cash. And maybe one of the cameras. But that’s it. Oh, and the credit card. But we never really liked that handbag). The crooks were later apprehended. In his defense, the survellance tape showed that one of the robbers was not carrying anything as he left the hotel and his lawyer claims his client simply had heard a movie was being filmed there and he went “to check out what was going on.” It’s quite common to see guests at the Soho Grand with stockings pulled over their heads..
