Chart-topping British songstress Adele is said to be in very early talks to take the role of Dusty Springfield in a possibly upcoming movie about the British blue-eyed soul singer, who died in 1999. The film will be written by Boardwalk Empire writer David Stenn and will be set in Memphis, Tennessee, in the late ’60s during the time Springfield was recording her 1969 album Dusty in Memphis. The script has not been accepted yet by a studio, and Adele’s musical commitments could cause her to turn down the role. And her spokesman in London has nothing to say on the project. So this is pretty much a nothing story. Think Adele would make a good Dusty?
