It’s because Spotify revealed today what their users top songs/artists/genres/podcasts are for 2022.
As one Twitter user posted,

I dunno why everyone is bummed, we all have our guilty pleasures.
OK, full-disclose, Madonna was my number 1, but I CAN explain. I use Google Home to play Spotify over speakers, so my go-to to get music started playing is,
OK Google, play Madonna.”
To which anyone in earshot always says,
MADONNA!!?”
And OK, sometimes, 15 minutes go by before I switch to another artist because I’m writing this damn blog.
My other default is,
Ok, Google, play Dua Lipa…”
Hey, I work for World of Wonder, so I listen to a lot of drag podcasts. In my defense, I DO listen to The WOW Report‘s Top 10 on Radio Andy but I usually catch that on YouTube, so I can see Fenton, Tom & James and Blake’s faces… feels more like hanging out. (And very often 2-3 of my items a week do make the Top 10.)
