House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said yesterday that Republicans would open an impeachment inquiry against President Biden next month.
McCarthy told Fox Business he want to see receipts,
Show us where the money went. Show us: Were you taking money from outside sources?
That would clear most of this up.
If they provide us the documents, there wouldn’t be a need for an impeachment inquiry.”
Republicans have not previously said that they had asked the Biden administration or the Biden family for bank statements.
FYI, Trump, besides being indicted for crimes we basically saw him commit on TV, has so far, in his run up to the White and after fours years in the Oval Office (unlike any modern president) has never even revealed all of his tax returns (voluntarily). Can you IMAGINE what HIS bank statements would uncover?
But House Oversight Committee chair James Comer said earlier this month,
This is always going to end with the Bidens coming in front of the committee.”
Republicans have subpoenaed records from banks confirming that limited liability companies affiliated with Hunter Biden, received millions of dollars from foreign nationals in Ukraine and China. Those records, reflecting business relationships, have been public knowledge for years.
They have not revealed any link to President Biden. None.
Trump bitches about Hunter Biden’s overseas deal-making, but he and his family have received much more money from around the world.
Nevertheless, McCarthy continues to says that the Justice Department has been persecuting Trump while coddling Hunter Biden, who has been under investigation for years for not paying income taxes.
McCarthy’s demand, and the main Republican allegation against President Biden, is that he took a Ukrainian bribe when he was VP. This remains totally unfounded.
Meanwhile, despite all evidence to the contrary, 51% of Iowa caucus goers still believe Biden didn’t win. What a world…
