So, MTV handed out its Video Music Awards last night at NYC’s Madison Square Garden and Beyoncé topped the winners list with a total of six awards, surpassing Madonna for most VMA wins ever. Rihanna performed not once but four different times and accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and Britney made a much-anicipated return, as well. But it was Queen Bey who stole the whole fucking show performing live versions of Pray You Catch Me, Hold Up, Sorry, Don’t Hurt Yourself, and Formation from her groundbreaking visual album, Lemonade. She took a baseball bat to a camera and by then end literally smashed the crowd into pieces after she was done, proving that she deserves that royal title. That dress on the red carpet plus her other looks of the night (minus all the fur) really SLAYED the competition, as well.
Bow down and watch.
